Research Description


As one of the founding members of GlimMR Medical Device Innovations , he has focused on medical device development , particular to tools for cardiac catheterization , electrophysiology , and cardiac assist devices. He has partnered with biomedical engineering teams in developing a novel pediatric ventricular assist device , and has received multiple grants supporting this research.
He has become a nationally recognized investigator for percutaneous device therapy of mitral valve disease.
In concert with colleagues at Johns Hopkins , Duke University , and Vanderbilt University , He has pioneered the development of the MAGIC registry for congenital cardiac interventions.
