GRADUATE TRAINING IN CARDIOVASCULAR BIOLOGY
As a registered BIMS student, we hope that you will continue your PhD work with training in Cardiovascular Biology in the Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC). Our broad faculty and their association with most degree granting programs and departments provides enormous opportunity for selection of rotation projects, and toward the end of your 1st year, selection of a thesis advisor who specializes in your desired research focus. At the same time you will select a degree-granting department or program.
You will then have the opportunity to affiliate with our training grant in Basic Cardiovascular Research which has been guiding students for more than 40 years and producing successful scientists. If you decide to focus on Cardiovascular Biology, you will also be affiliated with the Robert M. Berne Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC), one of the premier centers in the country.
